A Day for Wednesday’s Child is an annual fundraiser to benefit the mission of The Adoption Exchange, Colorado. This is the 3rd year NexusTek has been a part of this campaign and the first year our team members volunteered to answer donor calls for the cause! Callers showed support with donations from $25 up to $1,000! We thank the Adoption Exchange for all they do for the communities they serve. NexusTek is honored to support this very important mission.

Fact: In Colorado, more than 5,000 children are in foster care and hundreds of these children are available for adoption. Last year, more than 20,000 children nationwide were emancipated from states’ care without ever having found a permanent family.

The Adoption Exchange connects children waiting in foster care with families who adopt, and supports families through the adoption process.

In partnership with CBS4 and 97.3 KBCO, A Day for Wednesday’s Child is an opportunity for this great organization to share what they do and the positive impact they have on children in the adoption process. Through this televised event and fundraiser, viewers get to meet the children who have found loving homes and the many children who are still waiting.

The Adoption Exchange innovates the adoption process by working towards creating a world where every waiting child will find a permanent family. Through rigorous collaboration with state, federal, and other relevant agencies, we focus on innovative child-specific strategies that provide vibrant pre- and post-adoption services that speed waiting children to caring and loving relationships that last.

Since The Adoption Exchange officially opened its doors in 1983, the non-profit organization has helped connect nearly 8500 children with loving homes and responds to approximately 14,000 adoption inquiries each year from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Territories and Canada.
